Fridays 3-5PM - Volunteering at Evanston Public Library is a fun and easy way to give back to our community! They need 3-6 volunteers every week to assist librarians with a variety of tasks. One main responsibility will be sorting books for their weekly book-drive. We have created a tentative volunteer time for Dance Marathon participants: Fridays from 3-5pm (all of winter quarter). However, Evanston Public Library allows a lot of flexibility with its volunteers, so we will try and work around your schedule to find an optimal time for you to come in and volunteer. Keep in mind that just a couple of hours and a short walk away is a fantastic volunteering experience that helps Dance Marathons second beneficiary, the Evanston Community Foundation.

This site is looking for a small handful of people who are interested in a long term commitment extending beyond Dance Marathon. They would need people mainly for helping out with after school art classes Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays, but are very flexible. You don't need to be experienced in the arts, you just need to have energy and be encouraging to the kids and teens who are there. Their mission is to provide a creative and welcoming environment for people of all ages to explore their artistic side without fear of judgment. Just a few El stops away!
