The Evanston Community Foundation (ECF) is a publicly supported philanthropic organization dedicated to enriching Evanston and the lives of its people, now and in the future. The foundation builds and manages its own and other community endowments, addresses Evanston’s changing needs through grant-making, and provides leadership on important community issues. ECF funds organizations and initiatives that improve the quality of life in Evanston, and Dance Marathon strives to strengthen Northwestern University student’s involvement with the community that serves as their home for four years. DM began its partnership with the ECF in 1998 and they have served as our secondary beneficiary for over 10 years. ECF now receives 10% of the total funds raised every year.
