Dear Cradles to Crayons,
December 25, 2017 was my daughter’s first Christmas. Her name is Madeline* and she’s nine months old. Madeline is a happy baby, she loves to hug, loves to show affection, in short, she just loves to love. This Christmas was special, not only because it was Madeline’s first Christmas, but also because of the generosity of Cradles to Crayons as well. Your generous donation of diapers, toys, clothes, bathing products, books, jacket and so much more, made this year one of a kind. As parents, we love to see our kids smile and learn and have everything they need to grow. However, during winter when there are more expenses due to the holidays and family flying in and out and buying more food or whatever it is you need. So although we try, its not always easy to get what we need and still be able to get what we want such as gifts. For example, Madeline has recently started to wean herself off of breast milk so she’s been wanting more formula them breast milk. I use the WIC program. They generously supply me with formula each month, however because she has started to wean herself off of breast milk, she ran out of formula. With the money we saved not buying diapers this month, we were able to get our daughter 2 cans of formula instead, thanks to your donation that included diapers. Also, the toys were wrapped and made part of her Christmas presents too. Your amazing gift came as such a blessing because she was able to get more formula, she received diapers perfectly fitting clothes and so many amazing gifts for her first christmas. From all the gifts she received, the giant giraffe that was a gift from Cradles to Crayons, was her favorite. Thank you so much for making this a memorable Christmas and for all that you have done in the community for other families as well.
